Vietnam Explorers Travel's responsible travel policy
GIVING SOMETHING BACK...
Vietnam Explorers is committed to responsible travel and environmental sustainability. It was a commitment formed when the company was established, and today, in the face of a multitude of threats to the environment, our commitment is stronger than ever. We aim to ensure that our destinations retain their natural character and cultural diversity for future generations. This vision can only be achieved with the support of all of our travelers and business partners.
Our responsible tourism policy commits us to the following principles
Environmental Sustainability
- Environmental sustainability in all our business planning and operations. Specifically, to support the natural and cultural values of the regions in which we operate are not undermined.
- Minimal environmental impact at all stages of the business. Our wilderness journeys always operate under minimal impact guidelines. Our office should be run on maximum efficiency and minimal waste.
- Contribution to conservation. Where possible, we will engage in partnerships with local environmental groups to campaign for conservation or to promote environmental protection or rehabilitation.
Responsible Travel
- Our operations will maximize the positive benefits of tourism on the host communities. We strive to employ local staff, use local suppliers and develop sustainable businesses.
- Our operations make every effort to minimize the negative effects of tourism, such as diverting resources away from communities or increasing the prices for local resources.
- We provide opportunities for cultural exchange, where we share and learn from the local communities.
- We contribute towards host community welfare. Where possible we engage in partnerships with local agencies to develop programs that can assist the host communities. This may include support for health, education or environmental protection matters.
- We aim to increase your knowledge of the destination in order to encourage appropriate behavior and minimize cultural and environmental impact.
